He was arrested in April 2017 by cops investigating the Hutch associate’s shooting.

Detectives seized a number of mobile phones, including an encrypted BlackBerry, during a search of the yob’s home.

Cybercrime officers discovered a number of messages between himself and his brother Anthony Glynn — with coded references to cannabis (“green”) and cocaine (“white”).

The communication linked him to a €1.5million cocaine and cannabis haul cops had seized from a lock-up on the Malahide Road in Artane on March 31, 2017, the Special Criminal Court heard.

Gardai also seized 300 rounds of live ammunition suitable for use in a number of handguns during the raid of the lock-up.

It belonged to Emmett Fogarty, who was caged after pleading guilty to his involvement.

Glynn, of Fitzgibbon Court, Dublin 1, admitted to conspiring with Emmett Fogarty, Anthony Glynn and persons unknown to possess drugs worth in excess of €13,000 for sale or supply on dates between January 25, 2017, and April 12, 2017.

He also admitted conspiring with Fogarty, Glynn and others to possess ammo. He will be sentenced on March 16.

Glynn was caged last year for placing a tracker on Gately’s car on behalf of the Kinahan Organised Crime Group.

He got seven-and-a-half years, with a year suspended.

The cartel had targeted Gately as they believed he played a pivotal role in the killing of drug dealer David Byrne at the Regency Hotel in February 2016.

He was sprayed with bullets as he pulled into a petrol station in Clonshaugh, north Dublin, in May 2017.

His life was saved by his bulletproof vest.

Ahead of Glynn finding out his latest sentence his lawyer told the court he had undergone drug treatment in recent years.

Anne Marie Lawlor SC said two of his three kids were born since the offences took place and asked the judges to take the passage of time into consideration.

She insisted: “His life is very different now.”
