Since the death of Gary Hutch, there have been 18 killings linked to the feud while gardai have also put a number of gangsters behind bars over crimes connected to the gangland war.
Here’s a full timeline of the Kinahan-Hutch feud to date.
MAY 2014: Graffiti at the funeral of Daniel Kinahan’s mother Jean Boylan brands Gary Hutch “a rat”.
AUG 2014:Daniel Kinahan targeted by a hitman outside his apartment in Marbella. Boxer Jamie Moore shot by mistake.
MARCH 2015: Hutch faction pay €200,000 compensation to Daniel Kinahan for the attempt on his life.
AUG 2015:Gerry Hutch meets with Christy ‘Dapper Don’ Kinahan Snr to allow a deal for Gary Hutch to return to Spain.
SEP 2015: Gary Hutch returns to Spain but is shot dead by a cartel assassin outside his apartment.
OCT 2015: Gary’s brother, Derek ‘Del Boy’, survives an attack inside Mountjoy Prison.
NOV 2015: Gunman targets Kinahan hoods Liam Byrne and Liam Roe outside Dublin’s Red Cow Hotel. But the hit is botched when his weapon jams.
DEC 2015: Hitmen Eamon Cumberton and Christopher Slator attempt to kill The Monk in Lanzarote on New Year’s Eve.
JAN 2016: Hutch associate Darren Kearns shot dead outside a pub in north Dublin.
FEB 5, 2016: Kinahan cartel associate David Byrne shot dead at the Regency Hotel by a six-man hit team.
FEB 8, 2016: The Monk’s brother Eddie Hutch murdered at his home in north inner city Dublin.
FEB 16, 2016: Last public appearance of Gerry Hutch at his brother’s funeral. The Monk later leaves Ireland and spends time in the UK, Holland and Spain.
FEB 29, 2016: Real IRA boss Vinnie Ryan was murdered by the Kinahan cartel after he was identified as one of their main enemies following the Regency Hotel attack. They believed he had access to the AK47 assault rifles similar to those used to kill gangster David Byrne
MAR 2016: Noel ‘Kingsize’ Duggan is killed due to his connection to Hutches outside his home in Ratoath, Co Meath.
APRIL 14, 2016: Martin O’Rourke is killed in a case of mistaken identity on Sheriff Street by Kinahan’s men.
APRIL 25, 2016: Michael Barr is shot dead at the Sunset House pub on Summerhill Parade. He was a dissident republican who the Kinahans wrongly identified as one of the gunmen in the Regency Hotel shooting.
MAY 2016: Gareth Hutch, a cousin of Gary and nephew of Eddie is shot dead near his home. Siblings Jonathan Keogh, 38, and Regina Keogh, 46, were later convicted of his murder.
JULY 2016: David Douglas is shot dead outside the shop he ran on Thomas Street in Dublin. Four people are later jailed in connection with the murder, including ‘Fat’ Freddie Thompson.
AUG 2016: Trevor O’Neill is killed in front of his family while on holiday in Majorca, Spain, in a case of mistaken identity.
DEC 2016: Noel Kirwan, a friend of Gerry Hutch is shot dead outside his home in Ronanstown, Dublin.
MAY 10, 2017: Hutch associate James ‘Mago’ Gately is shot five times while filling up his car at a petrol station on the Clonshaugh Road. But he survives.
MAY 31, 2017: Michael Keogh – a brother of Jonathan and Regina – is shot dead in an underground car park. His death is believed to be a revenge attack by the Hutch gang.
DEC, 2017: Caine Kirwan, son of Noel Kirwan, is lured to his death by the Kinahan mob in Clonee, Co Meath.

JAN 20, 2018: Derek Coakley-Hutch, a nephew of The Monk, is shot dead while sitting in a car in the Bridgeview halting site beside Cloverhill Prison.
JAN 29, 2018: Eamon Cumberton is jailed for life after being found guilty of Michael Barr’s murder.
JAN 30, 2018: Jason Molyneux is shot dead by a two-man hit team at Dublin’s James Larkin House flats — having just returned home from the wake for Derek Coakley-Hutch.
MAR, 2018: A nine-man Kinahan cartel hit team organises a plot to kill Patsy Hutch. However, all nine men are later jailed for their involvement in the sinister plan.
JUN 21, 2018: Dubliner James Quinn is sentenced to 22 years in a Spanish prison for the murder of Gary Hutch — the killing that sparked the feud.
AUG, 2018:‘Fat’ Freddie Thompson is jailed for life for the murder of David Douglas in 2016.
NOV 9, 2018: Luke ‘Popeye’ Wilson is jailed for 11 years over the plot to kill Hutch associate Gary Hanley.
NOV 15, 2018: Street trader Clive Staunton, 50, was shot dead as he arrived home at Glen Easton Way in Leixlip, Kildare, from selling flags and scarves outside the Ireland game with the North at the Aviva in November 2018. His murder was linked to the Kinahan cartel because of the victim’s distant link to the Hutch family
DEC, 2018: Estonian hitman Imre Arakas who was contracted by the Kinahan cartel to kill James ‘Mago’ Gately is jailed for six years.
Eric Fowler, who had ties to the Kinahan mob, is shot in the head by two gunmen in his own driveway in Clonsilla, Dublin.
FEB 20, 2019: The trial of Patrick Hutch for the murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel collapses allowing The Monk’s nephew walk free.
FEB 17, 2021: Caolan Smyth is jailed for 20 years at the Special Criminal Court for shooting James ‘Mago’ Gately.
APR 2021: A European Arrest Warrant is issued for Gerry Hutch after the DPP decides to charge him over the murder of David Byrne.
AUG 12, 2021: Gerry Hutch detained in Spain after a European Arrest Warrant issued for his arrest.
OCT, 2022: Gerry Hutch goes on trial for the murder of David Byrne.
DEC, 2022: Ex-Sinn Fein councillor and State witness Jonathan Dowdall takes to the stand against his former co-accused.
APRIL, 2023:Verdict is delivered at the Special Criminal Court.
