KINAHAN cartel rapist Barry Finnegan has been arrested by Gardai as part of their ongoing investigation into the murder of Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch’s brother Eddie in 2016.
Gardai want to question Finnegan to establish if he played any role in facilitating the crime, although they do not believe he was the shooter.

It’s the first time he has been arrested about the killing since it was heard in the High Court in July 2018 that he was a ‘person of interest’ in the investigation.
The High Court also heard how he was wanted for questioning by officers working under ‘Operation Raglan’.
Finnegan – who also has convictions for assault and armed robbery – was arrested by detectives from Mountjoy Garda station at the courts complex in Dublin’s Parkgate Street.
He was lifted after he had attended the District Court to answer a charge of trespass.
Finnegan – who was a close pal of slain gangster Gary Hutch– is the third person to be arrested by detectives probing the fourth murder of the Kinahan and Hutch feud in recent weeks.
He can be held for seven days before being either released or charged.
Once the arrest had been made, the murder victim’s family were informed by Gardai.
Before his arrest, Finnegan had been identified in the High Court as being a close associate of senior cartel figure Liam Byrne.
One source said: “This investigation is very active and this is another significant arrest.
“Every effort is being made to bring those involved in this murder to justice.”
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Mountjoy investigating the murder of Eddie Hutch, which occurred at Poplar Row, Dublin 3 on 8th February, 2016 have made an arrest.
“A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested this morning and is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a Garda Station in North Dublin.
“Investigations ongoing.”
